PUP continues to dominate village council elections

By BBN Staff: The People’s United Party (PUP) is claiming another victory in the fifth round of village council elections.

In Corozal, the party is claimed only one village, conceding three to the United Democratic Party (UDP).

In Orange Walk, however, the PUP is claimed 6 villages to the UDP’s one.

In the Belize District the PUP is claiming 3 villages compared to the UDP’s 5.

Finally, in Cayo the PUP is claiming 3 villages to the UDP’s 2.

The PUP says it won a total of 13 villages and 90 candidates to the UDP’s 11 villages and 75 candidates.
