Ministry of Health monitoring dengue cases

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring dengue cases in Belize.

7News Belize confirmed yesterday that there has been an increase in the number of dengue cases reported in Northern Belize.

The Ministry is also monitoring cases being reported in Southern Belize.

The Ministry has not yet released the official figures of reported dengue cases.

“The Ministry of Health says it is doing the best it can with education sessions and spraying,” a statement expressed.

The public is advised to be on the alert for Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.

Belizeans are encouraged to eliminate mosquito breeding sites which exist in and around homes.
