Police comment on fatal road traffic accident

Posted: Monday, July 29, 2019. 7:43 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Assistant Superintendent of Police, Alejandro Cowo, today commented on a road traffic accident that claimed the lives of four men last night.

According to Cowo, the men were reportedly speeding when they suffered a blow out near mile 6 of the Philip Goldson Highway.

As a result, the men lost control of the Toyota Camry and collided into a lamp-post, which ripped the vehicle into two.

The men were all flung from the vehicle and unto the highway.

Allison Stephenson was the only survivor of the crash.

Police are yet to release the names of the other men and are struggling to indicate who was the driver.

Police are also seeking to determine if the men were consuming alcohol.

A post-mortem examination scheduled for tomorrow is likely to shed some answers.
