Police: T Street shooting gang related

By BBN Staff: Two suspects were detained but released in connection with Friday night’s shooting in Belize city.

Sometime around 8 o’ clock, Jeffrey Gomez was walking on T Street when two men pursued him.

One man pulled out a firearm and reportedly opened fire.

Gomez was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police say that his shooting was gang related.

Gomez, a Dangriga native, was recently released from prison and had relocated to T Street less than a month ago.
