By BBN Staff: The Department of Youth Services (DYS), Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture is hosting an Open Day at all of its Youth Centers countrywide.

All young Belizeans are invited to come out and learn more about the Department’s services while celebrating International Youth Day.

The Open day will be held at all centers located in Corozal Town, Orange Walk Town, San Pedro Town, Santa Elena, Benque Viejo Del Carmen, Belmopan, Punta Gorda Town, Dangriga, and our three centers in Belize City.

The Open Day will be hosted on Monday, August 12, and as part of International Youth Day celebrations.

DYS will also be launching an updated DYS website as well as our Belize Youth Directory.

Youth groups are invited to attend and register their youth groups to the official directory.

The main office on 55 Regent Street will feature music group presentations, free recordings at the DYS music studio, Vertical Artz presentations, Art displays, booth displays, and closing with a back to school concert featuring DYS recording artists.

DYS believes that youth are an essential part of every nation’s future, and Belize has many talented young people who must be celebrated and empowered.

Join the celebration at any of the Youth Centers countrywide on August 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to celebrate International Youth Day.
