Tapir knocked down and dismembered in Ladyville

Posted: Wednesday, August 7, 2019. 9:10 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Sometime around 10 o’clock last night a Tapir was knocked down and killed in the vicinity of Textiles in Ladyville.

Shortly thereafter someone returned to the area and cut off all its legs in disturbing fashion.

Our newsroom contacted government officials for a comment but our calls have gone unanswered.

This area has seen an increased presence of Tapirs and a fair share of their deaths by motor vehicles.

The deaths of these Tapirs are alarming as they are our country’s national animal.
