Belize out of U-15 CONCACAF Championship

By Aaron Humes: The Football Federation of Belize announced this morning that Belize’s U-15 boys had lost 2-1 to St. Lucia in their final group stage match at the CONCACAF Championship in Florida.

With this morning’s loss Belize finishes with 1 win and 2 losses, and are eliminated from the competition. Belize’s only win was against St. Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday of this week. In that game we prevailed with a score of 3 goals to 1.

Belize finished behind French Guiana who earlier beat St. Kitts and Nevis by a score of 2-1.

The Federation said the team “has grown and shown significant improvement on and off the football pitch,” and that their results are no determiner of their success.
