Shot and missing at sea

By BBN Staff: Derrick Ramirez has been reported missing for almost one week now.

On Sunday afternoon he and relatives were diving near Cross Caye.

That was when they were accosted by three men to leave the area.

The threatened men cooperated but while packing the three men returned and confronted Ramirez.

One of the men pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at him.

In an attempt to escape Ramirez ran into some the nearby mangroves with the shooter in pursuit.

After the men left Ramirez’s friends and family tried to locate him but were unsuccessful.
