Caribbean Tires supporting education through school bag drive

By BBN Staff:Hundreds of students countrywide are getting brand new bags for back to school through an initiative held by Caribbean Tires.

Students get a free backpack when they go to any Caribbean Tires branch and take a photo in the photo booth set up, then share to social media. The initiative, which began on August 1 will finish on August 15.

Breaking Belize News (BBN) spoke with Caribbean Tires Marketing Manager, Judy Perez, who said the company has been working with several community organizations that requested bags to distribute to the communities they serve, apart from the bags being given away at the company’s branches.

“Education is something that is dear to the hearts of our directors. We have been doing this for years without publicizing it,” Perez said.

She added that the staff of Caribbean Tires was inspired to see how well the initiative was received and by the groups of children coming out to get their bags.
