Placencia gets new tourism officers, motorcycles and golf cart

By BBN Staff: The Placencia Police Formation today received 2 new motorcycles and 1 new golf cart to be used for patrols in Placencia.

In addition, 5 new tourism police officers were assigned to the village.

As such, the Placencia Village Council thanked the Belize Tourism Board, Ministry Of Tourism, Ministry of National Security, and Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams.

“We are happy for the improvements being made towards the security of our tourism product and the villagers,” a statement from the council said.

The Placencia Police Tourism Unit is under the sub-command of Corporal Cladius Cardinez with his immediate supervisor of Assistant Superintendent, Sherlett Ramclam.
