Policeman interdicted, charged for sexual assault of teenage girl

By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested and charged one of their own, San Ignacio Constable Herman Milian, with eight counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl aged 13.

According to Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, ACP Joseph Myvett, the minor made the report along with a social worker. The assaults took place over the last five months and have been confirmed by medical examination.

ACP Myvett further told the press at a briefing that they do not have any information at this time to suggest that the child’s parents knew what was happening between the officer and the girl.

Milian has been placed on interdiction and is expected to be criminally arraigned.
