Slow motion video captures awe-inspiring Biles performance

By BBN Staff: A slow-motion video of Simone Biles’ performance has gone viral on social media.

The 22-year-old Belizean-American gymnast is among the most decorated gymnasts in history.

Biles has become the first woman in almost 70 years to win a sixth all-around title at the US Gymnastics Championships and the slow-motion footage captures an athlete at the very top of her game.

In 2016, Biles was voted Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year. She became the fifth gymnast to win the honor.

In several interviews, Biles shared her experiences in Belize and her relationship with her grandmother who is of Belizean origin. She also dominated headlines for claiming strong ties to Belize.

After winning the Stuttgart World Cup in March of this year, Biles stunned the audience at the U.S. Classic competition in July. Biles last visited Belize in 2017.

“ It wasn’t as good as in training. I’m just happy that I landed it because I feel like after night one my confidence got shot down,” Biles commented.
