Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle Magazine goes green for upcoming issue

Posted: Friday, August 16, 2019. 8:11 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle, the quarterly magazine produced by McNab Visual Strategies, which showcases the best of Belize, is taking an environmental focus with the launch of its latest issue which is themed “conservation.”

The launch of the new issue will be held at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza on August 28. Breaking Belize News (BBN) spoke with Tanya McNab, creative director of McNab Digital Strategies, who explained that the company reached out to experts in the field of conservation, as well as private sector entities to see what was going on in the field and how local businesses are doing their part in protecting the environment, while ensuring that the magazine’s tourism appeal remained intact.

“It’s designed to be a guide for visitors who are in-country, so they know where to get something to eat or what to do if they’re in a particular area of the country,” McNab said. “But the heart of the magazine is that we want to be that good news ambassador. We know that there are negative things in this world but we want to be that cheerleader for Belize, always.”

The launch will be followed by an Eco-Market Place Expo, which brings together businesses who are selling eco-friendly products and services. A wide range of businesses will be showcasing their wares at the expo including those making environmentally friendly utensils like plates and straws, those in the field of energy management, water conservation, household cleaning products, and organizations providing educational material on the importance of conservation.
