By BBN Staff: Today the Cooperative Department under the Ministry of Agriculture hosted its certification and inaugural ceremony for the Corozal United Sheep Producers Cooperative Society Ltd.
The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Agriculture office in Corozal Town.
The objective of the cooperative is to provide a singular enterprise through which members will market their product, promote the economic and social welfare of members, provide other activities that will enhance the economic and social development of members and the community, and advance in the cooperative values, principles, and philosophies.
A total of 14 sheep farmers were certified today as cooperative members.
