By BBN Staff: Police are trying to determine the identity of a man that was killed in Hope Creek Village, Stann Creek District yesterday.
Officers say they responded to a call around 12:18 a.m. and found the lifeless body of a John Doe of Hispanic descent, with chop wounds to the body.
Investigations revealed that John Doe was involved in an altercation at a bar earlier and that a man involved in that altercation left on bicycle, returning a moments later on a motorcycle with another man.
One of the two men on the motorcycle approached John Doe with a machete and inflicted the wounds that ultimately killed him. His body was transported to the Western Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
