Lake0-I and Pickstock win big in CitCo summer league

By BBN Staff: Yesterday the Belize City Council completed its second annual summer basketball league.

In the u-15 category, Lake Independence defeated Freetown.

With this victory, Lake-I is once again the champion of the tournament.

In the u-17 category, Pickstock defeated Caribbean Shores.

According to Councilor Micah Goodin, who has the responsibility for Youth and Sports, this weekend was the culmination of five weeks of competition between the teams.

Goodin says that this tournament represents a microcosm of the society he would want to live in, in which everyone can come together despite their differences and have a good time.
