Three detained, one being sought for last night’s shooting

By BBN Staff: Just before midnight last night, a man was shot in Belize City.

He has since been identified as Brendell Munnings, 44.

Police say he was riding his bicycle near the Inspiration Center when a man approached and opened fire.

He was shot multiple times and transported to the Karl Hausner Memorial Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police say that the motive for this incident was a prior dispute between the victim and his attacker.

Police have since detained three persons for questioning and are actively seeking another.
