Moist and unstable conditions to continue today and tomorrow

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that moist and unstable weather conditions are expected to prevail during the next 24 to 36 hours.

The 24-hour forecast calls for some cloudy spells with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly over southern and some coastal areas this morning, then over central and northern areas this afternoon. Skies are expected to become cloudy to overcast tonight with some outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms over most areas.

Today’s temperature will be 86 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 8o degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will blow East between 10-20 Knots and the sea state will be choppy to moderate.

There will be a high tide at 12:53 p.m. and low tide at 7:05 p.m.

There is an advisory out for the threat of localized flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas.

The sun will set at 6:15 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 9:45. pm.
