By BBN Staff: The Office of the Director of Health Services today informed that up to this weekend, there was a total of 950 lab confirmed cases of dengue.
In addition, there are 814 clinical suspected cases for a total of 1,764 cases.
According to the report, last week, the number of confirmed cases spiked to 215 in only one week with 4 districts reporting an increased amount of cases.
The office notes that not all suspect cases are being tested/will be tested for dengue given the current phase and only those having dengue with warning signs or severe dengue will be hospitalized.
Of all cases, 3.2% has been classified as severe. The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to engage in prevention and elimination of mosquito breeding sites.
