By BBN Staff: The Embassy of Mexico in Belize is inviting the public to a special presentation of the Mexican documentary film: They Called me King Tiger, directed by Angel Estrada Soto.
This special screening is on the occasion of National Day of Mexican Cinema 2019 cultural event to be held this upcoming Friday, August 23, 2019, at 6:30 pm at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Belize City.
August 15 was the National Day of Mexican Cinema and the Ministry of Culture, through the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE), celebrated it with a powerful cultural circuit of more than 90 independent exhibition venues throughout the country projecting for free about 60 Mexican films of recent production.
The event celebrates Mexican cinema by sharing stories and enjoying cultural diversity by those who daily approach Mexican cinema to their different audiences.
The goal is to leave no one behind and share the cultural wealth from Mexico.
The Mexican Institute of Cinema – IMCINE joins efforts with cinemas, movie clubs, cultural centers, educational institutions public channels and streaming services so that all audiences can access the most diverse Mexican cinema.
