Renowned saxophonist who played in Stevie Wonder’s band is in Belize

By BBN Staff: Renowned saxophonist and founder of the Kilgore Music Foundation, Ryan Kilgore is in Belize.

The Ministry of Education and Youth Services in partnership with Peacework and the Chief Education Officer welcomed Kilgore to Belize.

Kilgore formerly played as part of Stevie Wonder’s band.

Belize’s Music Ambassador, Shyne Barrow was in attendance to welcome Kilgore and shared words of encouragement for the music industry, to youth in attendance at the Marion Jones Stadium.

Other visits will include the Department of Youth Services, Gateway Youth Center and the Anglican Cathedral College.

Kilgore’s visit comes on the eve of a donation of musical instruments to music programs throughout Belize and promises to be a partnership that will only take music for young aspiring youths to the next level.
