Shyne Barrow to hold 5th annual school bag distribution in Mesopotamia

By BBN Staff: Shyne Barrow will distribute 1,000 school bags to the children in the Mesopotamia constituency this Friday, August 23 and next Friday, August 30.

The United Democratic Party Standard Bearer has been distributing school bags every year since 2014.

Barrow says his aim is to ensure that every child in Mesopotamia has a school bag.

In addition to the education assistance he distributes to the community through the Government of Belize, Barrow wanted to do something from himself personally.

When he first started to campaign in the division, Barrow was determined to establish his own personal relationship with the people of Mesopotamia by assisting however he can to ease their burdens.

In his first year, he distributed 200 school bags and every year thereafter, the amount has increased.

Shyne says he wants to “educate and empower the youth in Mesopotamia so they can be self-reliant and self-sufficient.”
