By Aaron Humes: US Virgin Islands proved to be no match for the U-17 National Women’s team, falling 5-0 this afternoon at the Wildey Turf in Barbados.
Belize scored thrice inside 26 minutes and a fourth before half time, adding the last in the second half.
Belize currently tops the group on four points but St. Kitts and Nevis, playing Barbados later, have a wider goal differential after dismantling USVI 10-0 on Wednesday.
St. Kitts are Belize’s next opponents on Sunday afternoon and if they lose tonight, Belize has a chance to grab the pole qualifier spot for the group in the 2020 CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Championship.
