Isabel G. Bennett and Dr. Louis Zabaneh appointed PUP Senators

By BBN Staff: Today,  PUP Leader John Briceño announced that he is recommending the appointment of Ms. Isabel G. Bennett and Dr. Louis Zabaneh as Opposition Senators.

“Dr. Zabaneh and Ms. Bennett will be replacing former Senators Paul Thompson and Valerie Woods who for the past three plus years did outstanding work in the Senate on behalf of the people of Belize,” a release from the PUP notes.

According to the statement, the Party Leader wishes to thank the Paul Thompson and Valerie Woods for their work and is confident that their replacements will represent the Party and Nation in like matter.

The two new Senators will join recently appointed Senator Michel Chebat who replaced Ambassador Eamon Courtenay as lead Senator.

Both Senators will be sworn in at the Special Sitting of the Senate on Friday, 30th August.
