Police: Marijuana found at Santa Elena murder scene

By BBN Staff: San Ignacio police are seeking one man in connection with the murder of Nelson Flores.

Last night just before 9 o’clock Flores was at home with his family in Santa Elena when a man approached his backdoor asking for him.

The man then entered the house during which a struggle ensued with him and Flores’ 14-year-old son.

Thereafter the intruder opened fire at Flores and his 12-year-old daughter.

Flores died while undergoing treatment but his daughter was listed in a stable condition.

Police have since recovered an undisclosed amount of marijuana from the crime scene.

However, police would not say if the matter was drug-related.

At this time, the killer who was seen in full black with a motorcycle helmet over his head is being sought by police.
