Galen University welcomes new students

By BBN Staff: Galen University welcomed a new cohort of students to the Galen family this past weekend.

The students’ orientation was well attended and the new students seemed very excited to begin their educational journey.

Galen University was founded in September of 2003 and was established as Belize’s first independent university offering degree programs in Business Administration, Agriculture, and Tourism Management.

Over the past fourteen years, systemic program expansion has allowed the university to offer a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Today, Galen University boasts 1 main campus in Central Farm, Cayo District, as well as branch campuses in Punta Gorda, Belmopan, Belize City, and Orange Walk. There are also 5 satellite centers in Corozal, San Pedro, Caye Caulker, Dangriga and Independence.

Galen University offers degree programs in a variety of formats, including traditional, campus-based classes, online course delivery, or hybrids of these designed to suit individual student needs.

Satellite centers provide a space for students to pursue degrees in one of Galen’s hybrid/online technologically driven programs.

At Galen’s main campus in Belmopan, students can enroll in Graduate Programs in the Schools of  Business, Science and Education and various hybrid/online undergraduate programs.
