Southern Regional gets new van and generator

By BBN Staff: Minster of Health, Pablo Marin officially handed over a 2019 Ford Transit Van to the Regional Health Manager of the Southern Regional Hospital, Dr. Franelda Gutierrez.

The van was purchased by the Government of Belize at a cost of $78,000.

It will primarily be used for support in the transportation of staff to carry out services in that community.

The hospital also obtained a new caterpillar 600 A Emergency generator.

The generator was purchased and installed in July at the Southern Regional Hospital.

The Government of Belize purchased and covered the installation cost that totaled approximately $316,000.00.
