Belizean health professionals represent at 1st of its kind meeting in Mexico

By BBN Staff: Health professionals, Ingrid Gomez, who is a Registered/Certified Dialysis Nurse attached to the Miguel Rosado Unit and adult intensive care unit at the KHMH; as well as the Manager of Belize Healthcare Partners Limited, Keith Neal and nephrologist Dr. Jose Aguiar Labrada are in Mexico attending the first of its kind International Nephrology congress.

They are joining other health professionals from across the region to discuss emergency response in Hemodialysis.

The congress is a three-day event which began on August 28, 2019.

The event is being held at the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad Bicentenario de la Independencia ISSSTE Tutitlan, Mexico.

Gomez presented on “Experience in the Treatment of Kidney Disease in Belize, in the 1st. International Course in “Nephrology for Nursing Personnel” and 4 Monographic Course, which is carried out by the Nursing Coordination of the Regional Hospital Bicentenario Independencia ISSSTE Tultitlán.

Gomez told BBN that the congress is contributing 100% to their professional growth.

“It has been exceptional has been very educational and has help us provide better care for our clients. It’s added 100% to our professional growth,” Gomez stated.
