US visa refusal rate at 34% in 2018 for Belize

Millions of people from all over the world apply for visas to visit the United States of America (USA).

Thousands of Belizeans apply for US visas for meetings, conferences, study or vacation.

The B1/B2 tourist visa is one of the most common visas.

Applicants must pay a fee, apply online, and then attend an in-person interview.

Data from the United States (US) Department of State indicated that for the fiscal year 2018, which ran from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018- refusal rates for B visa applicants in Belize was 34.55%.

For neighboring countries like Guatemala and Mexico, it demonstrated a 53.6 refusal rate and 24.9% respectively.
