By BBN Staff: The 74th edition of the Queen of the bay pageant was held last night in Belize City.
Newly crowned Queen of the West, Kimberly Santos brought the crown to the Twin Towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena as the 2019 Queen of the Bay. Outgoing Queen of the Bay hails from Belmopan, Jenny Lee Cruz.
The 1st runner up is Sabrina Coleman from Stann Creek, 2nd runner up is Kiah Pastor from Belmopan and the 3rd runner up is Aaliyah Pilgrim from San Pedro.
Santos also won Miss Photogenic.
Santos was born and raised in San Ignacio.
Kimberly is a proud graduate of Sacred Heart College and is now pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in English Education at the University of Belize.
Santos is a senior dancer and is one of the young leader dancers of the Western Heat Dance Company.
Apart from her dancing passion, Kimberly loves reading and traveling and is advocating for the “Zero Use of Plastics and Styrofoam” in her community.
The last Queen of the Bay who hailed from the Twin Towns was Yolanda Cruz in 1965.
