Mexican cyclist suspended for anti-doping violation

By BBN Staff: Mexican cyclist Donizeti Vasquez, who aced fourth overall in the 29th Krem New Year’s Cyclic Classic race, has been suspended following an investigation by the Mexican National Anti Doping Organixation (MEX-NADO).

MEX-NADO said that the suspension will run for two years, and will be counted as of 31 May 2019, after an analysis of a sample Vasquez submitted produced and adverse finding for the substance DEXAMETASONA.

The disqualification means that his performance in the race, which included claiming the second station prize at the Orange Walk checkpoint has been disqualified
