An awareness drive is planned for September 7, 2019 to explain to residents the on going issue affecting the river.
Presentations will also be done at the river bank by other environmental groups to educate members and members will educate the schools and residents.
The group also planned a Coastal River Clean Up, which will be a national initiative. Date will be announced soon.
It will include a river clean up campaign along the Macal and Mopan rivers.
An alliance with villages and different environmental groups as well as the people of San Ignacio and Santa Elena will be made to undertake this initiative.
