“Unstable weather ahead,” says Met Service

By BBN Staff: The weather outlook for today, prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize, says that conditions will be warm, moist, and relatively unstable today.

The 24-hour forecast call for sunny skies with cloudy spells throughout the day and tonight. There will be showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mostly over inland areas this afternoon leading into tonight, when the showers will increase and spread to the northern and central areas of the country.

Today’s temperature will be 92 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 88 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 76 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds are blowing East between 5-10 Knots and the sea state will be slight – light chop.

There will be a high tide at 10:33 a.m. and low tide at 5:01 p.m. The sun will set at 6:07 p.m. and the moon will set today at 7:30 p.m.
