As the world waits for the damage assessments coming out of the Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, mandatory evacuations in several areas of the United States have been ordered as the storm travels north.
Millions from Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, are being told that they have to move because the hurricane is bringing life threatening winds and flooding.
Since it battered the Bahamas yesterday, Dorian has lost some strength, now being classified as a category 4 storm with sustained winds of 150 miles per hour. The storm approach has caused Carnival Cruise line to reschedule some if its cruise ship dates, while US Coast Guard personnel are preparing to head to the Bahamas to deliver aid.
We will have more on Dorian’s path of destruction later today, as word comes out of the Bahamas.
