By Aaron Humes :On Monday, the trial of William “Danny” Mason; brothers Terrence and Keiron Fernandez; Ernest Castillo and Ashton Vanegas for murder resumed before Supreme Court Justice Antoinette Moore but was quickly adjourned to Wednesday, September 4.
Neither Illiana Swift who represents Terrence Fernandez, nor Dexter Todd who represents Mason were present, and Vanegas’ counsel Norman Rodriguez indicated to the court he would be late, per Channel 5 News.
With the defense attorneys due to start submissions after the prosecution closed its case in July, Justice Moore elected to halt proceedings momentarily.
The other defense counsels are Baja Shoman for Ernest Castillo and Bryan Neal for Keiron Fernandez.
The five are being tried for the alleged murder by beheading of Pastor Llewelyn Lucas in the Cayo District in July of 2016. Previous testimony established that the pastor’s severed head was found in a pick-up Ford-150 truck belonging to Mason. All deny the charges.
