Coast Guard officer charged for aggravated assault

By BBN Staff: Authorities have formally arrested and charged Brian Orellana,23, a coast guard officer for aggravated assault, wounding, and discharging a firearm in public.

On Monday, September 2, 2019, Orellana reportedly visited the home of Christina Teul in San Martin, Belmopan.

There, the two had an exchange of words during which Orellano took out a firearm and struck her to the head.

Teul’s son tried to intervene and that is when Orellano fired a shot into the air and then fled the scene.
