By BBN Staff: Classes at La Inmaculada RC School in Orange Walk Town have been postponed and are expected to resume on Monday.

According to reports, several students have reported sick with headaches, nausea, and vomiting due to the stench from the contaminated New River.

Today, the Ministry of Education and school representatives held an emergency meeting where they made the decision.

This morning, Orange Walk Mayor Kevin Bernard made an appeal to the relevant authorities to address the situation immediately since it is posing a health hazard to the students and residents.
