BERT raises awareness on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

By BBN Staff: BERT Belize is raising awareness on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by commemorating September as A CPR month. 

During this month, several activities are hosted in different parts of the world (Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal) to raise awareness of the importance of CPR and being knowledgeable of basic first aid.

To jump start this initiative, the BERT team visited students in Northern Belize to help raise awareness and train students in CPR.

According to the American Heart Association (AHA), CPR from someone on the scene can double or even triple the chance of survival of someone in a cardiac arrest.

“We are excited to promote this educational outreach to the country of Belize,” a statement from BERT said.
