By BBN Staff: This week, a meeting was held in Belmopan towards finalizing plans to extend water services to Boston Village on the Old Northern Highway.
The meeting was attended by NEMO Minister, Edmond Castro, Minister with responsibility for the Social Investment Fund (SIF), Erwin Contreras; CEO in that Ministry, Yvonne Hyde; SIF Executive Director, William Lamb; Chairman of Belize Water Services (BWS), Alberto August; and Agriculture Minister Godwin Hulse, who is a certified, veteran engineer.
Boston is one of only three small villages in Belize Rural North that do not enjoy adequate water services, the other two being Bomba and Maypen.
