By BBN Staff: Belize Coast Guard, Brian Orellana, has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

At a police press conference held today, it was reported that he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of wounding, and discharging a firearm in public.

Last week it was reported that Orellana visited the residence of Christina Teul in the San Martin area of Belmopan.

There, he reportedly struck her in the head with a firearm during a verbal confrontation.

Thereafter, he was involved in a physical altercation with her son.

Before fleeing the scene, he allegedly fired a single shot in the air.

Police have since recovered a .22 pistol believed to have been used in this incident.
