Ministry of Health hosts water safety plan meeting

By BBN Staff: Today, the Ministry of Health in partnership with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) is spearheading a water safety plan consultation meeting for Belize.

The purpose of the meeting is to work with relevant stakeholders in establishing and implementing a guide to ensure safe portable water for the consumer.

The objective is to develop a guide to reduce the risk of human health from water supply systems looking at the catchment stage along the entire production stage to the consumer.

Key partners include the Belize Water Service, Hydrology Department and the Public Utilities Commission among others.
