Wet carnival day

By BBN Staff: As Belizeans prepare for the annual carnival road march, the National Meteorological Service of Belize advises that today’s weather conditions will be relatively moist.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny with cloudy spells and isolated showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms, especially over the south and central areas this morning, and few more affecting the Toledo district tonight.

Today’s temperature will be 88 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast between 5-10 knots with the sea state being slight choppy.

There will be a low tide at 11:40 a.m. and a high tide at 7:08 p.m. The sun will set at 6:01 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 1:36 p.m.
