By BBN Staff: On Friday evening, Fries Store on Santa Rita Road in Corozal Town was robbed.
At 5:30 p.m. a dark complexion man entered the store and he was joined by a Hispanic man who pulled out a firearm and demanded cash.
The men then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Four hours later a car pulled up to a checkpoint in Sandhill.
The vehicle was driven by Corozal resident, Darren Carillas.
With him at the time were Juan Chanek, Julian Dyer, Moses Moore, Curl Locke, and Kenisha Hall.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two firearms.
As a result, they were all charged for firearm related offences.
Also found in their possession were items believed to have been recovered during the robbery.
As such, police may also charge them in connection with this incident.
