By BBN Staff: Representatives of the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, NCFC, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Department of Youth Services, Restore Belize and the Ministry of Local Government met at the National Assembly to strategically plan for the meeting of the sub committee of Belize’s 1st ever Youth parliament.
The meeting is scheduled to occur on November 20, 2019 in celebration of International Children’s Day.
This initiative will have the participation of 31 students to form the Youth Parliament at the National Assembly and will also have a full gallery audience comprised of students from across Belize.
Calls for youth participation have been sent to high school principals countrywide .
Interested youth ages 13-18 can also apply online.
