Posted: Friday, September 13, 2019. 8:16 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor, Micah Goodin, signed a joint letter of intent between the Belize City Council and the faculty of sports at the University of Technology (UTech) in Jamaica.

According to Goodin, this new partnership will bring trainers from UTech to Belize to provide sports trainings that will be accredited by the university.

“If trainees want to pursue their studies at UTech, they will already have some credits toward their degrees,” he added.

He continued, “there also exists an opportunity for some sporting scholarships through UTech.”

Goodin believes that through this partnership, the Belize City Council can have a great impact on sports in the jewel.
