Man wrestles armed intruder

By BBN Staff: A Belize City resident played no joke in wrestling an armed intruder yesterday.

Police report indicates that Mervin Martinez and his common law, Chanteuse Martinez were at home around noon time when a man who is known to them entered and fired a shot towards Martinez.

A struggle ensued between Melvin and the gunman and the man left the scene leaving his firearm behind.

No one was injured during the incident.

 Police have recovered the weapon and are investigating.
