Wanted American National detained in Belize

By BBN Staff: Belizean authorities today conducted a search at an apartment complex in Ladyville and arrested US national, Ladd Duane Ottofy,60.

Ottofy is wanted in Kentucky, USA for serious offenses such as rape and sodomy.

He was indicted in March of this year for 4 counts of first-degree sexual abuse, 1 count of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under age 12), 1 count of second-degree rape and 1 count of second-degree sodomy.

Officers from the Belize Special Branch and Quick Response Team (QRT) were accompanied by officials from the US Embassy to conduct the arrest.
