By BBN Staff: Four persons have been detained after they were busted with an unlicensed firearm.
They are: Cristian Omar Alejandro Granados Monroy, 21; Delford Slusher, 38; Oven Gustavo Fernandez Tenas, 42; and Dwight Wade, 39.
According to police reports, at about 3 p.m. yesterday they pulled up to a police check point in Roaring Creek, Cayo.
Officers immediately conducted a search of the black Volkswagon that they were traveling in.
That search led to the discovery of a 9mm pistol with a magazine containing (12) 9mm rounds of ammunition, which was tucked in the front part of Monroy’s pants.
Officers also found a box containing (32) 9mm rounds of ammunition.
As a result, all four persons were detained pending charges.
