Japanese Embassy and Punta Gorda Town Council to sign $400,000 grant

By BBN Staff: The Embassy of Japan in Belize and the Punta Gorda Town Council are scheduled to sign a Grant Contract valued at US $202,500 (equivalent to $404,635 BZD).

The signing ceremony of Japan’s Grass-Roots Human Security Project will be held on Thursday, September 26, at the Bull Frog Inn at 10:00 a.m.

Signing on behalf of the Japanese Embassy is Hiroyuki Kubota, Ambassador of Japan to Belize.

Mayor of Punta Gorda Town Council, Ashton McKenzie will sign on behalf of the council.

Under the Project, two garbage trucks will be procured for the Punta Gorda Town Council.
