Weather expected to become dryer today

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that somewhat moist and unstable conditions will continue over the area becoming drier today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells and cloudy at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue mainly over central and some coastal areas this morning, then mostly over inland and southern areas this afternoon and tonight.

Today’s high temperatures will be 88 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be variable, blowing at 0-5 knots and the sea state will be slight.

There will be a high tide at 11:17 a.m. and a low tide at 5:02 p.m. The sun will set at 5:42 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 7:35 a.m.
